As an American residential school our many milestones include a number of firsts from when we became the first IB school first international school in the country (and the third in Asia) by adopting the International Baccalaureate Diploma program in 1976 among only nine other schools worldwide to when we became the first school in the country to have its own separate campus for camping and outdoor activities in 1994.
The Development Offices strategic objectives involve overall alignment and support of the Schools mission vision and values. The Development Officer is responsible for planning organizing and directing all KISs fundraising activities including the major gifts program annual fund planned giving special events and capital campaigns in order to build and maintain a support base to advance the mission of the school.
Bachelor or Masters degree in secondary education communications or Public Relations preferred.Must have expert knowledge and experience with educational systems such as KIS and other similar educational institutions with strong ties in Asia North America and elsewhere. 10+ years experience within India the region or internationally. Excellent reading writing and spoken English (Tamil or other Indian language an asset). His/her education and experience must be sufficient to carry out the responsibilities of the position.
