Our team of volunteers and staff is a mix of young and old experienced and new with skill sets that range from welding and metalwork to sewing and upholstery to computers and 3D modelling. We capitalise on these differing backgrounds by encouraging workers to design and develop a project they would like to pursue during their time here. These projects range in scope from re-designed organisation of our work areas to custom-made butterfly harnesses. We welcome any number of other skills and ideas designed to improve either our service or our facility.

We are seeking a Distribution Manager to oversee and coordinate upcoming wheelchair distribution events. These events involve adapting and fitting pre-selected wheelchairs for recipients across Southeast Asia. Your primary responsibilities will include event scheduling wheelchair selection pre-distribution preparation and on-site event management. Working closely with management you will ensure the smooth flow of operations during distribution events. These events typically occur 1-2 times per month and accommodate up to 100 patients over several days. You will also coordinate a team working under your supervision to accomplish the necessary tasks. Preference will be given to candidates with familiarity in disabilities and assistive devices as well as a background in Physical or Occupational Therapy.

You will be willing to commit to at least three years have a passion for serving the disadvantaged and possess excellent communication skills. You will be familiar with wheelchair selection and preparation gained through a PT or OT background. They are looking for a paediatrician to replace the existing long-term consultant who is retiring this year thus ensuring a quality service for the rural poor and helping give clinical leadership to a team of 3 senior and 2-3 junior national doctors. A senior trainee would also be suitable and would find an extended stay (several months) stimulating and fulfilling.
