We are a media development project which strives to develop a team in each culture that can make Christian resources for their own language. Video can be mass produced and passed around where even evangelists cannot go. When people see these Gospel movies in their heart language they realise that the Gospel has relevance to their culture.

You will assist with our projects and may be assigned to one of the internal departments such as communications or media team training.Language is key to building meaningful relationships and gaining cultural understanding. As part of your orientation you will complete a basic course of language learning. You will also be guided through the process of establishing yourself to live in a foreign country.You may be placed with a local team of ethnic evangelists to assist with a gospel media project. There are also options to participate in ministry in a variety of other ways such as English teaching village outreaches and worship ministry.In addition to language and cultural learning you will be actively engaged with a local church.

You must be 21 or over and commit to at least 12 months with the project. You will have experience or education in either digital media communications website design administration A/V or event management. You will possess a level of Biblical literacy and Christian maturity will have a heart for missions and be flexible and able to work independently.

Paediatrician

The project has a holistic approach which seeks spiritual physical social and emotional transformation.

The hospital has a busy paediatric department with over 2500 deliveries per year and a busy outpatient and inpatient unit for general paediatrics as well as an inpatient and outpatient unit for disabled children. They are looking for a paediatrician to replace the existing long-term consultant who is retiring this year thus ensuring a quality service for the rural poor and helping give clinical leadership to a team of 3 senior and 2-3 junior national doctors. A senior trainee would also be suitable and would find an extended stay (several months) stimulating and fulfilling.

Doctors are needed who are prepared to meet clinical needs as they arise as well as to contribute to training. Those with research interests will find opportunities to work on existing projects.

Physio/Occupational Therapist

There is a paediatric rehabilitation department which treats mainly children with cerebral palsy but also children with other disabilities. There is a clubfoot program and assistive devices are produced on location.

The hospital operates a rehabilitation unit for disabled children for up to 6 inpatients and over 1500 outpatients both at the hospital and in remote community clinics. Adult therapy services are offered for in- and out-patients. The project is seeking a physiotherapist or occupational therapist to give clinical support and guidance to our local therapy assistants in all three therapy disciplines. Other paramedical nursing and medical staff are also sought. A commitment of at least 1 year is preferable.

Some clinical experience is preferred. A successful applicant should be prepared to meet clinical needs as they arise as well as contribute to training. Those with research interests will find opportunity to work on existing projects.

You will have a track record of getting things done and of continuous improvement. You thrive while working in cross-cultural contexts and will ideally have some previous cross-cultural experience. You will hold a good relevant degree or professional qualification although equivalent experience will be considered. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English as well as leadership qualities and the ability to take ownership of new projects.
