We are a multicultural inter-denominational evangelical Bible-believing church of approximately 250 members situated in a large inland city. Our vision is to lead people to a personal relationship with God through the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to preach the message of the Word of God and to provide for the spiritual care and nurture of members through worship instruction fellowship and service.We are an English-speaking expat community situated on a church compound with diverse people groups.
The Lead Pastor serves as the primary spiritual leader and is accountable to the Elder Board. You will need a degree in Biblical Theology from an accredited institution and will be fluent in both spoken and written English. You must possess the elder requirements listed in I Timothy 3:1-7 and be at least 45 years old at the time of applying. You must be able to articulate a clear calling to the pastoral leadership of the church and be willing to sign a 2-year renewable contract. You will exhibit gifts of wisdom leadership and discernment and be comfortable leading a diverse multi-cultural congregation. You will have the stamina for a demanding position yet balance work with a strong walk with God.
You will demonstrate a strong personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a love for His church along with a commitment to ongoing spiritual development. You will be mature and led by the Holy Spirit.Eight years of pastoral experience are required of which three must have been in a similar role. You will be experienced in performing weddings funerals baptisms and baby dedications and well versed in conducting counselling sessions.
